The curved edges of my patio and the stairway that leads to the back deck really gave me the unique and finished look that I was hoping for. The original driveway at our house was a crumbling uneven blacktop mess, with the tar patching the cracks and ant mounds. Shoveling or blowing snow was a pain since the shovel or blower edge would catch on the cracks, tar or unevenness of the driveway. We decided a new driveway was in order and after some searching decided to use Schahn Construction Services (SCS). Steve was fantastic and provided a competitive quote and stuck to it. Once started it was non-stop activity removing the old driveway, expanding it by 6 feet or so and adding an area for garbage bins. I also had him pour a 20×10 foot pad for a new shed and at the spur of the moment pour two steps and a landing for a backyard door. The driveway, shed, and steps were all poured over a couple of days. The driveway turned out perfect and snow removal is really easy now. An added touch was Steve noticed some bricks were missing in the brick-front of the house (where the driveway met the house) and came back later and cemented in some new matching bricks. Overall an awesome job, easy to work with, with attention to detail and a driveway that looks great after several years – highly recommend SCS.

Schahn Construction service has just finished completely rebuilding our front steps which included replacing cement block and concrete refinishing in a room located beneath the steps. We are very happy with the work they have done. In August of 2020 we procured bids from five concrete construction companies for this job. Steve’s bid was not only the lowest but offered me a more extensive plan than the others. Steve’s son Chandler and crew arrived at the appointed time, were very polite and congenial and did all of the work efficiently and professionally. I would highly recommend Schahn Construction Services for any and all concrete work and other work they offer. What a great group of people.
